About me …

Hi,

I have spent over 30 years working in the coal industry in Australia and parts of the World. I began my geological career in 1985, working for a University on a basin-wide research project. I then acquired work with a Government agency, working on defining coal and gas resources in NSW. I progressed to senior positions in coal mines where I was involved with exploration, mine geology, coal quality, geotechnical management, geological database and modelling, and resource estimation/ reporting. My on-site mine experiences spanned 16 years at four sites. I then spent ~10 years with a mining consultancy where I was involved in numerous due diligence studies, geological modelling, resource estimation and general advisory roles. I am now self-employed, providing services based on my lengthy experience. I am a member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists.
